Perian is a graduate of Winona State University. She has been an insurance agent since 1989 and joined Winona Agency in 2001. She specializes in personal insurance. Perian holds the Certified Insurance Councilor designation (CIC) and is a past recipient of the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce's Outstanding Women in Business Award. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Family and Children's Center. She's also active in Trempealeau Youth's Sport Club and is a Home Delivered Meals Volunteer.
